The six month part time programme, which is one of the first of its kind in Ireland provides a platform for females with STEM based business ideas to complete their pre-launch preparation by using the talent and resources of the Rubicon Centre. The Rubicon and Enterprise Ireland, in partnership, are targeting this sector to increase activity in female STEM entrepreneurship for the future.

Exxcel Programme Calling Female Entrepreneurs

EXXCEL, a 6 month programme designed for females who have a STEM related business idea with high growth and export potential, is scheduled to start November 2016.

The part time programme is the only one of its kind in Ireland, focusing exclusively on Female Entrepreneurs involved in the Science Technology Engineering or Maths (STEM) sectors. The programme is based in Ireland’s most successful campus incubator; the Rubicon Centre, CIT. The Rubicon supports entrepreneurs at all stages of development. It is currently home to over 60 companies and has over 400 alumni companies.

Scaling

  • Supplemented by one-to-one mentoring delivered by a team of expert mentors.

Who Can Apply

  • Female founders of start up businesses
  • The business must be female led
  • Business should have potential for growth and export

The next programme is scheduled to start November 2016. Securing a place on the EXXCEL Programme is through a competitive process including interview and is FREE of charge to participants successful in securing a place.
