Cork Innovates launches InBusiness InCork event feat. Dragon Gavin Duffy.
The free Cork event was opened by Cork Chamber President, John Mullins, with over 1000 attendees at City Hall. The morning was filled with interactive speaker workshops and exhibitions pitched at aspiring and new entrepreneurs, as well as those already in business.
A range of Cork entrepreneurs spoke throughout the day about their experiences of running and funding their own businesses. These included student entrepreneurs from University College Cork and Cork Institute of Technology to home based businesses, franchising and outsourcing company experts.
Innovators must open up to collaboration so that weaknesses can be strengthened and events like this provide opportunities for entrepreneurs to meet people who can help their businesses succeed
RTÉ TV ‘dragon’ Gavin Duffy delivered the keynote address, while Frank Madden (Crest Solutions), Kevin O’Leary (Qumas) and former Munster International, Frankie Sheahan, spoke about their business experiences throughout the morning. “The event is the first of its kind for the Cork region, where private and public have come together in such a united and proactive way”, says Siobhan Finn of Cork Innovates.
The inaugural InBusiness InCork event hopes to gather entrepreneurs around Cork and beyond on an annual basis, bringing business spirit to the forefront of the agenda.
