Cork Innovates Wins “Joint Local Authority” Award

Cork Innovates scooped the “Joint Local Authority” award at the Chambers Ireland 10th Annual Excellence in Local Government Awards.

Commenting on the win, Cork Innovates director Siobhán Finn said: “I was delighted that this unique model for driving innovation and entrepreneurship in the region was recognised nationally”

The Excellence in Local Government Awards showcase best practice in local government and recognise the skills, hard work, innovation and enthusiasm within local government that can often go unrecognised.

Cork Chamber Chief Executive Conor Healy congratulated Cork innovates on their success, saying: “Cork Chamber has long recognised the importance of developing an environment which is conducive to entrepreneurship in the Cork region and as a founding member of Cork innovates to fulfill this need, we would like to take the opportunity to congratulate both Cork City and Cork County Councils for having the foresight to fund this initiative through the Economic Development Fund”.
